When you’re growing your business, there’s going to be times of uncertainty. Is it going to work???

Let’s say you raise your prices, go to speak on bigger stages, hire more team, or take whatever YOUR BIG STEPS are that raise you into a whole new level of serving…

You don’t know if it’s going to work. There is uncertainty… and this, my friend, leads to THE WOBBLE.

That’s the feeling of not knowing and the discomfort around it.

This is because it’s new and uncertain terrain.

You’re growing, which means you’ve likely never been in this place before.

  • Of course there’s tension.
  • Of course you feel uncertain.
  • Of course it brings up doubts.
  • Of course you feel fear.

Yet, in this tension is a point of choice.

We can choose to play a safer and smaller game, taking smaller steps and doing the things that are familiar. OR, we can continue taking BIG growth steps that move the needle forward and make a quantum leap in our business.

In order to make a true quantum leap, we have to understand that tension is a normal part of the growth process. It will always be there. It’s, by definition, what it feels like to grow—what our cells feel like when they’re changing and our brain evolving as we form new neural pathways.

The more comfortable we get holding that expansion without imploding, the easier it becomes.

Watch the short video I recorded for you on “the wobble” and the tension that comes with growth below:

Do you know how to grow through the tension? Do you know what the gap is between where you are now and where you want to be?

I ask because most people don’t.

Most people have a sense that they need to do something or that something is missing or misaligned… because it feels like they are struggling too much… and chances are you are struggling too much if you’re feeling that way. Makes sense, right?

Yet, there’s no need to feel the struggle.

There may be tension in the growth, but there doesn’t need to be a struggle.

You can choose to continue spinning your wheels and feeling frustrated by your lack of growth and ease, or you can choose to finally get out of the struggle and master The Art of Leverage.

You know which option I’d choose. ;-)

What to do when your team lets you down.

By Amira Alvarez Leveraging your business means bringing on support, which means you won’t be doing everything yourself. Hallelujah! Leveraging your business means bringing on support, which means you won’t be doing everything yourself. Hallelujah! This is truly a godsend…

EXCEPT it also means that your support team will inevitably let you down. Something won’t get done, or something won’t get done right, and you might find yourself feeling frustrated.

Let’s be honest, sometimes you might even feel frustration or even rage.

  • You wanted something done and you wanted it done right, bah!
  • The email went out with the wrong link to the wrong list, ugh!
  • You’re in the middle of launching and things aren’t working, noooo!
  • Your client didn’t get what they needed and now you look bad, grrrr!

Sound familiar?

The first thing to remember is that it’s human nature to make mistakes. Mistakes will happen as a part of that process, and you have to be prepared for that reality. Growing a team requires that you roll with the mistakes and use them as a way to build and solidify the systems that your business needs.

The second thing to remember is that operating from a space of rage about the mistakes is really an indication of your own shame…

Let’s break this down…

When you feel rage, instead of rolling with the punches… this is your internal shame for…

  • Not having trained your team well enough.
  • Not having the right systems in place.
  • Looking bad in the eyes of others
  • Not feeling good enough.

And this shame hampers your ability to show up as the powerful creator that you are. It brings up the stories you tell yourself about your own self worth, and who you have to be to others. It keeps you from showing up fully and serving at your highest potential. Worse yet, it keeps you from making powerful decisions that move your business forward.

Feeling shame and rage doesn’t serve anyone or anything.

Not you. Not your clients. Not your team. Not your ability to quantum leap.

And here’s the important thing to remember: feeling that frustration, rage, and underlying shame is both a choice and an absolute waste of energy.

It pushes you into spinout, which means you’re losing valuable time and wasting your valuable mental resources… and this dramatically slows down your business growth.

Here’s what you do instead:

  • Shift your energy and mindset immediately. Put it in perspective. You could even laugh about it. Feel gratitude for who’s supporting you or what’s going right. Remind yourself these things happen.
  • Think about what you’d do differently, without dwelling on the mistakes or errors. Learn the lessons, note what needs to change about the flow, and see it as an opportunity to turn your systems and team into a well oiled machine.
  • Get back to running and growing and serving in your business. What is the next necessary action step to keep your business moving forward? Go do that.

Learning how to build a team that supports YOU and your business’ growth is important. Understanding how to deal with the INNER and OUTER game aspects of that is critical.

You have to master this to make your quantum leap with both ease and grace.

Today I want to talk about something that’s super important when it comes to growing your business: what to do if your partner doesn’t support you making the necessary investments in your business?

Now, even if you’re not partnered, this topic is applicable to you because it’s about more than just the other person… (isn’t it always?)

In order to grow and leverage your business, you have to invest.

That can means spending money on hiring team, running ads, working with professionals, and running your marketing. If your partner (or the people around you) don’t have the same money mindset, that can cause some real tension and backlash!

AND, sometimes it actually has nothing to do with them. Sometimes it’s your own belief system around what they might think coming into play and getting in the way.

Whatever comes up for you as a result of watching this video, it’s ESSENTIAL to dive deeper into it if you’re really ready to make a quantum leap in your business. This is part of getting good with your money story.
