When I first started out in my business, I had a vision and a drive. I could see what was possible… I saw it from my mentors, from other entrepreneurs I surrounded myself with, even in my own ‘knowing’.

However, the simple act of knowing what is possible isn’t the same as actually making it a reality. In the process of taking what I knew was possible and moving into what is now my reality a few key things had to happen. I want to share those with you today in hopes that if you are in a ‘possibility place’ you will understand what is needed to move it to reality.
Step 1 – Embrace Who You Truly Are
I think a lot of women skip this step. Mainly because we are often programmed to ‘be’ who everyone else needs us to be, we miss the opportunity to really step into the fullness of who we are as women and as entrepreneurs. Yes, I am driven and can slay the ‘get-it-done’ parts of my business, but I am also very intuitive and in flow with my productivity. Embracing all of who I am in both my masculine and feminine energy is a vital aspect to stepping into my success as a female entrepreneur.
Step 2 – Commit to the Plan
This step can often be the most frustrating, not because we are not willing to commit to the plan but because we often don’t have all the information we need to create the plan. Information around how to design the best offers that suit us (and our vision (see point one above, embracing who you are) for us, marketing strategies, sales techniques, how to manage our schedules, time, and priorities, what to sell, building a team, or creating processes, etc…
We create a business because we want to deliver a specific service or skill, not because we want to be master marketers! ← If this is you I TOTALLY GET IT!
So when it comes to creating a plan to build or scale our business it’s frustrating because we don’t always have the info we need, which leads me to Step 3.
Step 3 – Master the Art of Communication
Yep! You guessed it… to really scale and grow your business there is a level of mastery needed in communicating exactly what you need to create what you envision.
Marketing is communication
Selling is communication
Leading a team is communication
Delivering a service/product is communication
Often when we don’t know what we don’t know it hinders us from reaching our goals. We can be limited by what we understand in these areas that causes us not to communicate effectively and essentially not create the result we desire.
Learning to be an effective communicator required me to have a working understanding of how different strategies and technologies worked to support the vision and delegate out what needed to be done.
