I just got off a Skype call with my brand and marketing manager where she asked me how I was. My response? => “I’m tired.” Uffah! But that’s the truth!

Then I started laughing hysterically because…  WHAT THE HEY!? I’m so freaking tired it’s ridiculous. It’s totally and utterly laughable at this point.

Then it dawned on me… I was laughing about this… how can I be this tired… this exhausted… and still be laughing? How can I be this tired and still be kicking ass as a coach? How can I be this tired and still do amazing things with my life?

Because I am. :)

I’m still staying unstoppable and I’m still doing my thing… and a big piece of that is staying DELIGHTED despite the exhaustion.

As backstory, on the physical plane, there’s probably some sort of biotoxin in my system. I’m doing all sorts of crazy amazing work and taking supplements to detox that out. It’s a minimum two-month process and I’m all in. This is going to work!

There’s also another aspect to the physical manifestation of exhaustion that we don’t often look at. Sometimes this occurs when you’re in the midst of a huge energetic upgrade in your life. There’s a systems adjustment that has to happen that gets manifested on the physical level in the form of exhaustion.

I’ve had to recognize that there have been HUGE changes in my life recently that may be contributing to this…  I got divorced (positive for both of us), I’ve moved TWICE in the last eight months, I started a new relationship, and I’m growing my business and really expanding in that arena. All this change has been great and it’s been a lot. A big energetic shift.

Is that happening for you? Is there some big growth that you’re going through that you need to allow yourself to catch up with and recalibrate to? I think there’s a lot of truth to that for me.

So to break this down…

Is there a purely physical component to this as well?

Absolutely.

Do I need to adjust to all the change that’s happened in my life?

Yes, definitely.

Can both of those things be contributing to exhaustion at the same time?

Yes, for sure.

And can you laugh regardless?

Turns out the answer is yes!

That’s really the big point I’m making here: how can you laugh? How can you have a good time, regardless of what’s going on? What can you have a better attitude about? What can you approach with a sense of lightness and ease instead of victimhood and poor me? How can you remain unstoppable? What are the things that you can keep doing even in the face of exhaustion?

Now, I’m not advocating for burnout. I just want you to know that you don’t have to be stopped by what’s going on and you don’t have to stop having a damn good life.

Rock it out.

Be unstoppable.

And be sure to laugh!

One of the biggest places we lose time is overthinking and being indecisive.

So many of my coaching clients talk about this!!

And I get it… you don’t want to make the wrong choice. It feels like a lot is riding on what you do or don’t do. It makes you feel in control if you know all the pros and cons.

But it’s costing you a lot more than you realize.

It’s taking energy and attention from things that need it.

From the things that move the needle in your business and bank account.

The solution?

Say yes, more quickly.

Say no to the things that are a no, more quickly.

Seriously, that’s it.

Close the gap by being a quick decider.

When an opportunity or decision presents itself, tune in, see what it feels like, and respond. Say yes. Say no. Act accordingly.

If you get different feedback after doing so, you now have that experience and you’ll start learning discernment. You’ll be able to better gauge what’s a true yes and what’s a true no.

But you have to start the process. You have to commit to being more efficient in your life and work by not wasting time and energy on indecision and over thinking.

Sound like a plan?

(Just say yes!)

This Is The Secret To My Success

Sometimes I’m not a quick learner.

I’m not talking left brain stuff—THAT, I’ll say I do fairly easily. It was how I was raised to excel. I’m programmed to think that way, for which I’m incredibly grateful.

I’m talking about life lessons.

The stuff that actually takes you to the next level in your life.

Sometimes I need to get bopped on the head to be woken up (don’t we all!!) ;-)

When I’m in it, I’m not crazy about the process, but it works.

It gets my attention. I wake up.

I’m grateful for that too. #GratitudeForAllThings

I can say I’m not crazy about the process, but that’s old programming… to be resistant to what doesn’t feel good. That, however, I’ve learned over and over again, just makes it last longer.

Interesting, eh?

I can say I’m not crazy about the process, but it IS the process. It’s the way it works. Always. Zero exception. Again, no need to fight it. Embrace it as quickly as you recognize it.

That’s the secret.

  • How quickly can you do that?
  • How quickly can you recognize that you’ve been thrown out of heaven and instead of resisting the lesson that’s right in front of you, small or large, can you see the truth of it and embrace it?

This is how you quickly return to living that most delightful, “pinch me” life.

This is how you quickly return to moving the needle in your business.

This is how you keep growing, leveling up, and raising your vibration, no matter what.

This is my practice. Daily.

Walking the talk every day.

It is the secret to my success.

There. I just told you. Run with this. Please. :-)

I got a brainstorm the other morning, straight from Spirit, Source, the Universe saying, “there’s exhaustion for women in business and it’s a big effing deal.”

I want to pull back the curtain on this because I hear about it from my clients all the time. It’s something I help them work through to become truly unstoppable while also staying aligned with their personal needs. Walking that line between pushing too hard and staying committed.

The big download was to talk to you about my own personal experience with exhaustion that’s happening right now. In fact, it’s been happening for the last six months.

And let me tell you, it hasn’t always been pretty.

There’s been some serious WTF moments.

Yet I’ve continued to show up for my clients and I’ve continued to do my work in the world. I think it’s important to talk about how this all works, and that’s what this Exposing Exhaustion series is all about.

First, I want to frame a little bit around what’s been happening for me and why I decided to share it.

If you’ve been following me, you know that I moved to Denver in the middle of last year and I loved it! It was amazing for me. It was such a beautiful place, I had a beautiful apartment where I could walk to everything, and I was so excited to be there.

Then I started getting exhausted.

Experiencing both physical exhaustion and brain fog (coming and going, not constant). I went to a functional medicine doctor and tried different supplements, taking a ton of tests. Then I thought it might be the altitude, so I moved myself across the country to lower altitude!! Doing EVERYTHING I could to explore and remedy what was causing this exhaustion (I continue to do this).

I’ll tell you… it’s become quite a thing in my life! A thing that my mind obsesses about, and I’m not pleased about that. I’d love to be able to set that down and just be content and at ease with whatever energy I have, but I have to admit… I’m quite attached to having high energy in my life! Having the energy to do whatever I want, whenever I want.

And why wouldn’t I? That, to me, is freedom. Just like financial freedom, energetic freedom is huge.

Part of why I’m sharing this is that I don’t want this dichotomy between showing up in the world one way while something else is happening behind the scenes. Truth be told, that’s okay. As business owners, we don’t have to communicate everything about our life to everyone all the time. But when it starts to feel like you’re hiding something or you’re not fully expressed, that’s not okay for me.

That’s the start… I’ll be sharing more soon, so stay tuned. :)

Why I Don’t Tolerate Overwhelm

By Amira Alvarez Do you want to be superwoman? Are you trying to do it all?   Perhaps you’re a mom, a wife, a good friend, a businesswoman, and a volunteer. You’ve been working hard to grow your business because you know you have something valuable to offer. You know one thing for…

Do you want to be superwoman?

Are you trying to do it all?

Perhaps you’re a mom, a wife, a good friend, a businesswoman, and a volunteer. You’ve been working hard to grow your business because you know you have something valuable to offer.

You know one thing for sure…

You can’t find time to do it all and you’re reaching your tipping point.

Does this sound like you?

I’m often asked, “What do you do when you’re overwhelmed?”

The short: don’t tolerate the overwhelm.

Seriously, hear me out.

When it comes to the many, many things you have to do in this life and within your business that are adding to your overwhelm… you have two choices:

1) Don’t do them. (This includes delegation.)

2) Do them, but use it as an opportunity to practice managing your mindset. Feel grateful for the experience and make a conscious effort to ENJOY IT.

Regardless of what you choose, staying in the frustration and tolerating the overwhelm? Those are real money flow killers!!

You’re thinking you can’t do it. You’re thinking it’s a struggle. You think you don’t have time.

Stop that. Those thoughts are only making it worse.

(I say that knowing it’s a challenge AND knowing you can do it.)

Focus on what’s in front of you. Focus on what you want.

Don’t tolerate the overwhelm.

Decide to engage with it in a different way… which could mean just hitting the pause button for a while.

You always have choice.

Untrapping Yourself From Burnout

One reason so many women business owners feel like they have no time is because they keep working until the very last moment before they have something scheduled for themselves saying, “I can get one more thing done if I just power through!”

Have you been there?

I know I have in the past!!

  • Squeezing in that one last email.
  • Checking off at least a couple more to-dos.
  • Wrapping up another quick project.

I get that you’re driven and committed (so am I), but I want you to get honest and ask yourself…

Where does this come from? On the subconscious plane, what do you unconsciously think that you’ll lose if you give yourself a little more time? For your family? For life?

You won’t choose ease until it’s less painful than the alternative.

Dig in and see what’s beneath the drive to keep doing, doing, doing all the time.

The truth is you don’t need to hustle every single minute. Yes, there’s action to take, however, it’s a CHOICE to drive yourself to burnout.

It’s an unconscious one most of the time, but you do get to choose. It’s 100% up to you.

To change this, you have to make it a conscious decision… you notice that you’re cramming work into every open moment of the day and consciously decide on a different way of being that allows yourself MORE time and space. More ease.

Yet, that decision can’t just be, “I don’t want this anymore.”

It needs to be a conscious choice for something else.

What are you going to choose instead?

Make a conscious choice to start showing up differently today.
