What’s Actually Hard About Taking The Next Step…

The outer game actions are the easiest part of growing your business.

I know, I know… You might be thinking… “But Amira, it’s not so easy… I can’t find the right people, I don’t know where to look, they’re not out there. Or, I don’t even know the right systems to put in place and changing my packaging seems totally and completely daunting—what’s this ‘easy part’ you speak of?!”

Here’s how it works… the actions themselves are very clear and simple.

Need more support? You hire team. To hire team you take certain actions steps such as looking at your budget, writing an ad, interviewing, onboarding, etc.

Need things streamlined? You build systems. To do that you identify where the tension and breakdown is happening, figure out the best tool or solution, build out a process, test, etc.

Need to make more money without working more hours? You change your packaging. To rework your packages you raise your prices, bundle products and services, move to value based vs hourly, understand your client’s hopes and fears, rework your positioning, change your marketing, etc.

The how is not complicated.

What’s HARD are the fears, blocks, and beliefs that crop up throughout the process that cause confusion.

For instance, it’s not hard to hire team… it’s hard to believe you’re worthy of expert level support. It’s hard to believe that the perfect person is here for you right now.

It’s not hard to build out systems… it’s hard to trust yourself enough to let go of having your hands in every little thing, so that things can be streamlined.

It’s not hard to change your packaging… it’s hard to believe in the value of your products and services, as well as the impact you have on others… when you’ve been taught to not talk big or take up too much space.

All these pieces I’ve been talking to you about… leveraging, scaling, growing, and exponentially increasing your income… it causes a lot of resistance and agitation in many business owners.

I see people writing off how easy it can be and by saying things like… it’ll work for her because she’s further along, better suited to xyz, or is pdq industry.

They don’t want to have this conversation. NOT because hiring, packaging, and building systems themselves are challenging… but because it means they have to face into the fears, blocks, and beliefs that have been keeping them small… keeping them “safe.”

But if you’re the type of who wants to have a thriving business, you have face these things.

What’s the fear, block, or belief that’s getting in your way?

I know there’s something there otherwise you’d have the big results you want.

Just this morning I had to ask myself the same question… why am I feeling stalled, stuck, unclear? What’s the belief or story? Is there fear? What’s missing for me to be able to move forward? I faced this head on and answered it so I could move forward quickly.

No matter how much you grow… how deeply you do this work… you will continue to bump up against fears, blocks, and beliefs. It doesn’t stop. Where there’s growth, there’s tension… and you’ve got to be willing to step into it to resolve it and make it easier… if you want to continue to grow.

Be willing to face into what might be there, just below the surface. Be willing to shine some light where it’s most needed and get the CLARITY necessary to move forward.

I don’t fold my laundry anymore.

Not because I’m “too good for that” but because I decided that it wasn’t a good use of my time anymore. So I hired someone to clean the house for me, as well as to wash and fold my laundry.

When I first made the decision to do this, I bumped up against a whole lot of my own internal blocks.

  • Can I really spend money on this?
  • What a frivolous thing to do.
  • This isn’t what practical women do.
  • I can do this myself.
  • I should do this myself.
  • I can’t have someone else do this for me.

Do you know what the connection between all these thoughts were?

Lack of seeing myself as worthy of more… of better… of what I actually wanted.

I didn’t believe I deserved to be supported in this particular way. I didn’t believe I had the right to spend money on myself at this level. I wasn’t prioritizing taking care of my needs or nurturing my desires because “who was I” to hire someone else to fold my laundry?!

Yet in my head I was complaining about it. And I needed to take personal responsibility for stepping up and getting the help I needed and wanted… or I needed to stop complaining about it.

I share this with you today because choosing not to invest in ourselves and our businesses comes back to self-worth and taking personal responsibility. Choosing to work those 12 to 16 hour days… running ourselves ragged and forgetting to eat… that comes back to self-worth. Not implementing the systems that automate our business or having team step in and take over roles that are outside our genius zone… that comes back to self-worth… and personal responsibility.

We like to mask over it with the excuse of “not enough time” and “not enough money,” but if we’re unwilling to make choices, take actions, and make investments because we believe it’s not practical or is frivolous or “I could just do it myself”… it’s a self-worth issue, as well as not taking personal responsibility for the outcomes in your life and business.

In the first video of the Cracking the Code to Income Generation video series, I talked about the importance of claiming your desire. You can’t create what you desire if you’re unwilling to claim it. But you also have to KNOW that you’re WORTHY of having it.

You have to raise your self-worth.

But how do you do this?

You take the actions, first. You don’t wait until one day you magically feel more worthy of having your desires met… you take actions that are aligned with having a higher level of self-worth, and you keep riding wave after wave that come with upleveling your life, business, and relationships.

You KEEP. TAKING. ACTIONS.

  • You hire the cleaning company.
  • You bring on a personal or virtual assistant.
  • You work with the expert that can help you level up.
  • You buy the software that will smooth out the systems.
  • You get your nails done or buy the dress at the nicer store.
  • You invest in better equipment for yourself and your team.

Whatever it is for you… you take those actions. You keep showing yourself and your fearful subsconscious that YOU ARE WORTHY or more. And that you’re WILLING to do the work necessary to keep growing. To make more money. To have the life you desire.

Tell me, are you willing to do what it takes to have what you desire? To make a quantum leap and 3x, 5x, even 10x your income? To put the systems and support in place so that you’re able to SERVE MORE people, having the impact you desire?

You deserve more.

We’ve been talking a lot about creating leverage in your business, but what about your mind? How do you get leverage over the blocks, beliefs, and fears that keep you small and not taking the action you know you need to take?

You want to earn more money, have more time, and experience more freedom, but you can’t do those things if you’re not willing to get leverage over yourself and you’re limiting beliefs.

You can learn all the outer game actions you want––putting the systems in place, hiring the right team, investing in the right tools, and changing your offerings––but if you’re not working on the inner game pieces, you won’t see results. Even if you do, they won’t be lasting or replicable.

We all have blocks, beliefs, and fears. All of us.

For many of my clients it’s a fear of failing… of losing love, safety, security as a result of “messing up.”

Or they’re afraid to show up fully in their unique BRILLIANCE because “what would people think? What will happen if I get it wrong?”

They give away their power, pass off responsibility to everyone and everything else, and hold themselves back. So how do we get leverage over these things?

At some point your mind has to make a completely conscious decision to do things differently. To take actions that move your forward, despite the fear.

My client Wendy did this. She had a long time desire to “snowbird” in the winter months… owning her own property somewhere warm, so she could migrate there when it got cold.

But she had her blocks, beliefs, and fears.

  • What would people think?
  • I don’t have the money to do this.
  • What about my kids and school?
  • How would it even work?

They had a grip on her, keeping her stuck and small, and her dream just that… a dream. She had to get leverage over her subconscious programming that was saying… “don’t make a mistake”… by making consciously different choices.

I told her to get online and book a condo. Book the condo and the rest will “figure itself out.”

When you make a commitment (like booking the condo), to stay in integrity with yourself, you’ll have to…

You’ll have to figure out how to make the money, despite the fear.

You’ll have to find the solution and possibility that already exists around your kids and school (because opportunity is everywhere, we just can’t see it when we’re spinning out in fear).

You’ll have to get over or stop worrying about what other people think and have to just “do it.”

Most recently for me this has shown up in my commitment to run a marathon this September. For years I would stop and start running, never able to work up to the level of fitness and distance I wanted.

So I used these same principles to get leverage over myself to make it happen. Here’s a Facebook live video where I’m sharing the exact ways I have gotten leverage on my limiting beliefs to achieve BIG goals. (I’ve got my oh so professional, post-run hair in this video!)

I’m also talking more specifically about the quickest way to get leverage over your blocks around hiring team in this Facebook live video:

I have a BRAND NEW training series for you, that’s all about how to Crack the Code to Income Generation.

I’ll be talking specifically about how to invert the traditional “business growth” process in order to produce maximum results, far more quickly… my three pillars for creating more leverage in your business from where you’re at now, in order to scale to where you want to be with EASE… as well as what it actually looks like and takes to be the leader in your business.

Stay tuned…

How to create MORE TIME

Have you moved the needle forward on your big goals, or are you feeling stuck at yet another plateau?

Have you doubled, tripled, or even quadrupled your monthly income, or are you still hustling your @$$ off to keep in line with what you made last year?

Do you have more time for what you love… your family, friends, passion projects, self-care, travel etc… or are you still working those insane 16-hour days?

So much of the angst we experience year after year—the frustration of “why can’t I get ahead” or “what’s the missing link”—stems from not understanding EXACTLY what it means to grow and scale YOUR unique business. As well as not understanding how to best invest your time, energy, resources, and money in the right systems and support.

At its core, all the stress and anxiety we experience comes down to TIME.

You only have 24 hours in the day (just like everyone else). So, if you want to SCALE and GROW, you need to be using your time EFFECTIVELY.

But… what does that even mean and how do you even do that??

When you’re stuck at a plateau and feeling like you have NO TIME to put towards figuring out how to be more effective with TIME, the idea of making a quantum leap in your business can feel impossible and maddening.

You know you need better systems to streamline your process and projects.

You know you need better support to open up your time and energy and focus.

You know you need better ways to package your products or service to increase your revenue stream.

“But you don’t have the time.”

The truth is, you have the power to MAKE the time.

Before you get frustrated, hear me out.

When you’re stuck in the loop of the constant doing and stressing and running around like a mad woman… it sucks up so much more time and energy than is even necessary.

This is where the INNER GAME work comes in, specifically around creating LEVERAGE.

Leverage isn’t about being demanding or overbearing. It isn’t about taking advantage of people or creating more strain and stress. It’s about taking what already exists and works in your business and MAXIMIZING it.

The INNER GAME work involves:

  • Having the right energy and attitude.
  • Valuing yourself, your work, and your worth.
  • Mastering and owning your pricing and packages.
  • Knowing you’re capable of growing (and hiring the right team).
  • Creating the ability to hold your vision and trust in the process.
  • A deep understanding of the Universal Laws and how they apply to leverage.

This allows you to RELAX into more peace and ease, instantly creating MORE TIME.

As does the OUTER GAME work of creating better ways to package what you sell, systems, and team.

What to do when your team lets you down.

By Amira Alvarez Leveraging your business means bringing on support, which means you won’t be doing everything yourself. Hallelujah! Leveraging your business means bringing on support, which means you won’t be doing everything yourself. Hallelujah! This is truly a godsend…

EXCEPT it also means that your support team will inevitably let you down. Something won’t get done, or something won’t get done right, and you might find yourself feeling frustrated.

Let’s be honest, sometimes you might even feel frustration or even rage.

  • You wanted something done and you wanted it done right, bah!
  • The email went out with the wrong link to the wrong list, ugh!
  • You’re in the middle of launching and things aren’t working, noooo!
  • Your client didn’t get what they needed and now you look bad, grrrr!

Sound familiar?

The first thing to remember is that it’s human nature to make mistakes. Mistakes will happen as a part of that process, and you have to be prepared for that reality. Growing a team requires that you roll with the mistakes and use them as a way to build and solidify the systems that your business needs.

The second thing to remember is that operating from a space of rage about the mistakes is really an indication of your own shame…

Let’s break this down…

When you feel rage, instead of rolling with the punches… this is your internal shame for…

  • Not having trained your team well enough.
  • Not having the right systems in place.
  • Looking bad in the eyes of others
  • Not feeling good enough.

And this shame hampers your ability to show up as the powerful creator that you are. It brings up the stories you tell yourself about your own self worth, and who you have to be to others. It keeps you from showing up fully and serving at your highest potential. Worse yet, it keeps you from making powerful decisions that move your business forward.

Feeling shame and rage doesn’t serve anyone or anything.

Not you. Not your clients. Not your team. Not your ability to quantum leap.

And here’s the important thing to remember: feeling that frustration, rage, and underlying shame is both a choice and an absolute waste of energy.

It pushes you into spinout, which means you’re losing valuable time and wasting your valuable mental resources… and this dramatically slows down your business growth.

Here’s what you do instead:

  • Shift your energy and mindset immediately. Put it in perspective. You could even laugh about it. Feel gratitude for who’s supporting you or what’s going right. Remind yourself these things happen.
  • Think about what you’d do differently, without dwelling on the mistakes or errors. Learn the lessons, note what needs to change about the flow, and see it as an opportunity to turn your systems and team into a well oiled machine.
  • Get back to running and growing and serving in your business. What is the next necessary action step to keep your business moving forward? Go do that.

Learning how to build a team that supports YOU and your business’ growth is important. Understanding how to deal with the INNER and OUTER game aspects of that is critical.

You have to master this to make your quantum leap with both ease and grace.

Today I want to talk about something that’s super important when it comes to growing your business: what to do if your partner doesn’t support you making the necessary investments in your business?

Now, even if you’re not partnered, this topic is applicable to you because it’s about more than just the other person… (isn’t it always?)

In order to grow and leverage your business, you have to invest.

That can means spending money on hiring team, running ads, working with professionals, and running your marketing. If your partner (or the people around you) don’t have the same money mindset, that can cause some real tension and backlash!

AND, sometimes it actually has nothing to do with them. Sometimes it’s your own belief system around what they might think coming into play and getting in the way.

Whatever comes up for you as a result of watching this video, it’s ESSENTIAL to dive deeper into it if you’re really ready to make a quantum leap in your business. This is part of getting good with your money story.
