You have big, audacious goals.

You’ve claimed it, gotten giddy about it, and decided to finally take the plunge towards your true desire.

You‘ve even got your foolproof plan in hand. But when you start taking action towards ityou get to one of the steps, and all you want to do is run.

There’s resistance. It looks like complete avoidance, subtle procrastination, and distraction (i.e. getting busy with other very important things, inopportune crises and more.)

There’s almost a feeling like you’re trying to mix oil and water.

What’s up with that??

This happens because you’re in conflict with your identity and subconscious programming.

You resist doing the work because it’s so contrary to what you have done before… it’s so far from how you typically see yourself.

Let’s say you want to release some weight.

If you have a self-image of being a frumpy woman who is about 30 pounds overweight, you might be able to use persistence to shed those extra pounds.

But eventually, you’ll gain it all back.

If you want to be the successful, kickass owner of a 7-figure business, but your self-image is of a helpless girl who always calls others for advice on what to do… there’s going to be resistance there.

Same thing if you see yourself as the penny-pincher, regardless of how much you’re making – the person who second-guesses every price tag and denies herself from buying anything “just because that’s the right way to be.”

You may be able to perform at the level you desire for a little while – you might even be relatively successful – but you’ll never unlock your true potential if this is how you see yourself.

It is critically important that you align your self-image with your goals.

If you’re not doing the work to change your self-image, you will only see incremental improvements in your life and your business.

Wouldn’t you rather make a quantum leap?

If you’re not tracking or looking at your numbers… around revenue, marketing metrics, fitness goals, and everything else… you’re not accepting the TRUTH about where you stand and limit yourself from creating abundance in your life.

And because of this, you’re limiting the amount of GROWTH you can experience.

Directly.

If you want to create abundance in any area of your life, especially income, you have to look at the numbers.

You have to be willing to see things for what they are—so that you can make INFORMED decisions about what’s working and what’s not.

It can be scary, I know.

But I also know that it can turn you on.

Yes, numbers and spreadsheets can be sexy!! Hear me out.

Nothing is sexier than achieving your goals, right?

Especially those big juicy desires you hold… the six or seven-figure income… that dream apartment on the Upper East Side… the vacation home… or the streamlined business that helps you live out your purpose and gives you time with your loved ones and for your passion projects.

THAT’S all sexy.

And knowing the numbers makes it inevitable.

I know numbers can feel scary and overwhelming… especially if you tell yourself the story that ‘you’re not good with numbers’ or you ‘don’t like spreadsheets’. (I know really smart women that want to run and hide when it comes to clearly looking at their numbers.)

But do you want to be someone with excuses and inconsistent resultsor someone with the actual successes you desire in income, impact, reach, and lifestyle?

The latter requires honesty with yourself, which requires looking at the numbers.

Are you willing to do that?

You sit down at your desk in the morning, fire up your laptop, and prepare yourself to seriously achieve some goals.

Then, after taking a long sip of your coffee, you crack your knuckles and sit tall, ready to slay the day.

But… things don’t go exactly as you predicted.

You get interrupted by people, kids, your own thinking. Client issues pile on. Your inbox explodes… eventually you’re in total reactive mode, putting out fires, jumping from one thing to the next.

Sure, some problems can’t be ignored—but you start to feel a nagging sense of guilt over the unchecked goals on your growing to-do list.

By the time you make it back to your pillow, you feel exhausted and let down.

You worked hard all day… but somehow you only made a tiny smidgen of progress on your big goals. Nothing like you’d hoped.

You replay the day in your head, thinking of all the things you could have done.

Does this happen too often than you’d like to admit?

Well, I hate to break it to you… but you’re trapped in a cycle that will keep you playing small and making a fraction of what you’re capable of.

If you want to earn more money, have more time, and experience more freedom, you can’t do those things if you’re not willing to get leverage over yourself and your limiting beliefs.

At some point, you have to make a completely conscious decision to do things differently.

To take actions that move you forward, despite the fear… despite other obligations… despite excuses… despite it all.

This starts with mastering your cybernetic mechanism. This is the thing that either:

  1. Propels you forward toward massive success, OR

  2. Keeps you stuck playing at the same level, day in and day out.

When you master this mechanism, you make room for your lit-up life!

Are you taking all the clear outer game actions but not getting the results you really want?

Let’s talk about what’s going on here.

Is it that you need to stop taking action? No, absolutely not!

We have to receive that direction and guidance from Spirit/Source/The Universe and continue to take immediate, consistent action.

But you need to do this from a place of more life.

Money is attracted to those who are creating more life for themselves and others.

The Law of More Life says that we were put on this earth to grow. The purpose of life is expansion. Everything is for growth.

It tells us that if we don’t add to life, to our life and the life of others, not only will we not get ahead, we’ll be broken down and taken from as well. You’re either growing or you’re dying.

How do you avoid this?

Number one, if you’re in business, you have to have a product or service that you believe will truly create more life for other people. No getting around that. You can’t get something for nothing.

Secondly, you have to “walk the talk” ;-)

You might provide an amazing product or service, but if you are walking through this world LIMITING YOURSELF…by giving into excuses and rationalizations like “I’m too busy for that” or “I can’t afford it”… saying no to whatever it is that you actually really want… that’s saying no to your growth.

That goes against the Law of More Life. And that’s going to come across when you’re presenting what you offer for sale in this world.

(This applies to people in the corporate world too. You’ve gotta sell yourself to your boss and colleagues ;-) and communicate your ability to help the company do more, be more, have more!)

If you’re living a limited life, it comes across in how you show upeverywhere.

So if this sounds like you… if you’re not getting the results you want, but you’re only looking at the external behavioral part of your goal… you need to take a look at this internal piece as well.

Start by asking yourself…

Where am I stopping myself and interfering with my more life directive?

And what can I do today to choose growth instead?

The Antidote to Envy

Have you ever been overwhelmed by envy? That feeling of wanting what somebody else has?

I know I have. It’s a terrible feeling, especially when it’s combined with thinking you’re somehow deficient… otherwise you’d have what they have by now.

It can cause self-doubt, fear, and panic and… unless you know how to make it work for you.

Let’s say you’re focused on growing your business but you haven’t hit your income goals yet.

You’re always on the go, it’s a bit of a struggle but you’re working hard… then you scroll past an old colleague in your feed, where she’s posting about her massive success in her business.

“Ugh, what does she have that I don’t???” you think to yourself as you go into that spiral of “not enoughness,” questioning whether you’re doing the right things or if you even have what it takes

Or maybe you’ve been killing it in your business, but you envy your friend who just got in amazing shape and looks annoyingly good, or your sister who’s romantically lit up.

Regardless of the exact details, you don’t need me to tell you that this type of comparison leaves you feeling awful.

It breeds feelings of envy and low self-confidence. It limits your potential and blocks your success… if it remains at this level of envy and fear.

The antidote for this is, “I can do that too.

You can’t stop yourself from observing others’ successes and failures. But you can change how you respond and allow it to impact your life.

You can choose to use it as inspiration, rather than a tool for self-criticism and fear-based reactivity.

When I was making my big quantum leap, I claimed the goal of making a million dollars. I did that because I heard that other people had done it.

Instead of going into jealousy, criticism, or dismissiveness, instead of making them wrong or bad, I said, if they can do it… I can do it too.

I reframed the situation, and it’s one of the mindset shifts that allowed me to go from $138k to $700k in one year, then cross the 7-figure mark.

Making these mental shifts is essential to becoming the person who actually executes on her goals – rather than the person who self-sabotages, wallows in jealousy, and stays small.

Are you willing to make this shift?

You can have what I have, or what your best friend has, or what that successful stranger on the street has… you just have to be willing to do what it takes.

You want to make more money and increase your cash flow, yes?

Yet there are times (perhaps more often than you realize) when you’re saying things like, “Ugh! I just don’t want to do it!!”

So what is this about? And how does it affect your cash flow?

This is a block to making money—plain and simple.

You’ll know that it’s showing up for you if you’re in resistance and frustration about taking some sort of action (no matter how small or insignificant that action may seem), and whatever you’re faced with feels like a heavy weight pulling you down.

When you show up in your business with this kind of attitude, you stop the money flow… both on an energetic level and a practical level.

Energetically, having this attitude of resistance and resentment is like a giant stop sign to Spirit.

It’s saying that you’re not willing to grow and become more, which is exactly what the Universe is saying you must do in order to actualize your next-level income goals.

You must change your attitude.

This isn’t just “putting on a happy face. You’ve got to change your entire approach to doing the work of making money. You really, truly need to fall in love with ALL ASPECTS of your work.

On a practical level, this allows you to get the work of building your business done so much more easily and quickly.

This is what I live and breathe. It’s one of the things that allowed me to go from barely making 6-figures to making $700k in one year, then onto 7-figures.

How will you start practicing this today? I promise it will work for you as well.
