You’ve got big goals… whether it’s for your life, career, or business.

Now ask yourself….

What do you hold off doing because you don’t have the money or don’t want to spend the money?

Is it not hiring team or upgrading systems? Is it not investing in the expert or the support you need? (Did someone say, housekeeper???)

Is it not traveling for business or pleasure or not spending money on a new phone? Or maybe it’s not getting that snazzy, sexy new underwear or those hot looking shoes?!

(I just bought the cutest shoes! Three pairs! Hit reply if you want to see a photo of them and the sexy-hot red crocodile boxes they came in. To die for!)

What if you saw this “saying no to yourself” as a TOLERATION?

What if you DIDN’T see it as something you can’t afford or an expense… but something you’re tolerating in your life… that you’re actually accepting?

See… one of the enigmas and big truths of life is that we can’t have more until we become more.

Becoming more requires that you ACT from the place you want to be at, not from the place you are right now.

This means making incremental but significant leaps forward in what you spend money on and how much you spend. It means not accepting your “I can’t afford it” resistance and instead making that incremental purchase that raises who you are being.

This is an act of NOT tolerating the aspects of your life you do not want. It’s the only way to change.

Do it quickly and everything changes quickly.

It’s a mind-bender but it works every time if you then act from this place.

It’s a pretty good life you tell yourself. And it is!

You certainly don’t want to be ungrateful…

Yet deep inside there is something yearning for more.

It’s your essence. Your purpose. Your full potential… wanting to be expressed.

But it’s stuck, trapped underneath all the ‘shoulds’… beneath all the subconscious programming from your upbringing that got layered over your essence…

These beliefs tell you how the world ‘should be’… but what if they weren’t correct?

What if they were just stories that you kept repeating and reliving?

What you had a story about what it meant to be wealthy was inaccurate?

What if you had a story about what it meant to be deserving of what you want that was inaccurate?

And what if these inaccurate stories (beliefs) limited how big you went with your business or your career? What if they determined how hard you worked and what you worked on? Or even what you allowed yourself to dream of and want?

What if they kept you from your greatness?

They do!

So, how do you break free? How do you step into your truth and stop being trapped by your stories?

You HAVE to look at your results (sales, income, impact, relationships, weight, etc).

Your results don’t lie. They tell you exactly what you’re choosing to believe about the world, yourself, and others.

Based on the results that you’re getting, can you identify what story you’re telling about yourself, the world, or others?

Here’s an income example…

If you’re not making the income you want, you may have a story that it’s hard to make money or you have to sell your soul to have a successful business or that it needs to take a long time or that women are bad at business, etc.

There are so many possible stories that could lead to limited income. What are yours?

And what story do you tell yourself that is holding you back from your greatness?

Last year I did something I was really super proud of, which was completing my first marathon!!

It was hard. The training was hard… the marathon itself was hard… but the growth I experienced in the process of doing it was amazing.

And guess what? Not sure, but I think I finished last. I think it took me about seven hours.

I’d always wanted to be a runner, but I would start running and stop, start running and stop, start running and stop. I would quit on myself all the time. I’d never really conquered the demon that is running before.

So this time… I signed up for a marathon, announced it to the world, and made it clear (to myself and others) that it was going to happen. I still ‘wasn’t a runner’, so I had to figure out a way to make to happen for myself… and I did! I found a particular interval training method and ran/walked for SEVEN HOURS!

I realized very early on that if I set an expectation of myself that’s large, I will really go for it, but then there’s also a risk of disappointing myself.

You know… DISAPPOINTMENT. The big D. ;-) It holds us back from so much.

You think… “Maybe I’m not going to make it. Maybe I won’t be able to. Maybe I’ll fail.” And then you stop.

So what I had to do was commit to the training, commit to doing it anyway, despite the fear of disappointment. And when I committed, I figured out a way to make it work and I did it. (So proud of myself despite my slow times!)

See… if you’re afraid of disappointment, you still can’t let that hold you back. You must claim your goals and commit to them despite the fear of disappointing yourself.

In fact, drum roll please… commitment is the antidote to disappointment!!

Because the solution to how to achieve what you want comes after you COMMIT.

Because you find the answers after you COMMIT.

Because you will do the work and absolutely surprise yourself with your own determination and capacity once you COMMIT.

But so often, we only sort of, kind of commit. We bail on ourselves. We get distracted. We fog out. This is what leads to disappointment. But guess what? This ISN’T commitment.

Commitment is no matter what, come hell or high water I’m doing this.

The Truth About ‘Ease’ vs ‘Easy’ (A MUST READ)

Do you want it to be easy, or do you want a great f’ing life?

If you want a great life, you have to understand the difference between ‘ease’ vs ‘easy’.

Easy happens when we master a skill. Something that was once a challenge for us is now easy.

Think about learning to ride a bicycle. At one point it was hard, yet eventually, it became second-nature, something you didn’t have to think about anymore… easy peasy! ;-)

This is true of making sales calls, showing up on a Facebook live, speaking on stages, speaking up to your boss, commanding a meeting or room… the list goes on. These will become easy over time, the more you do them and get comfortable.

EASE, on the other hand, is… a state of mind… a way of being… WHILE we’re doing the work to build something of substance (whether that’s a business, a career, a relationship, or a huge increase in our bank account).

We’re pushing our edges, learning new skills, working hard to create what we want, but we’re shifting our attitude – in how we approach it.

This can look like:

  • Choosing to feel delight during the day-to-day of business and life.
  • Working hard, but letting go of the ‘grind it out’ mentality that leads to burnout.
  • Experiencing challenges, but navigating them with humor – rather than frustration.
  • Removing the tension by taking actions quickly and with less ‘noise’ or story.

Challenge and hard work are where we grow, but we can choose to have an attitude of ease… to make simple shifts in our mindset and way of being… that lead to more EASE and more GROWTH.

How will you choose to create more ease in your life and work?

What’s one shift in your attitude that you can make today?

The Power To MAKE Time

So much of the angst we experience at the end of the day when we look at what we actually accomplished… comes down to TIME. Where did the day go?

So much of the frustration we experience at the end of the month when we look at our sales numbers and how much revenue we created… comes down to TIME. Where did the month go?

Now, you only have 24 hours in the day (just like everyone else), so what gives?

How do some people maximize their time and seem to get boatloads done every day? And not just boatloads of “stuff”, but the quality work that truly skyrockets their business?

HINT: If you want to SCALE and GROW, you need to have NINJA time-warping skills. ;-)

And it’s not what you think. 80% is inner game, not some fancy time management system.

You must become a ninja at mastering your energy and attitude and valuing yourself, your work, and your time. Do this and you’ll be able to execute like a rockstar… and warp time.

The result? Better days, better months, and a better bank account balance! Woot!

I’d love to go deep with you and teach you how to do this.

Because the truth is, you have the power to MAKE time work for you. And you have the power to earn as much money as you want. Let me show you how!

When You Can’t Seem To Make It Work

“Arrrrgh, why can’t I make this work?!”

This is what I exclaimed to myself in frustration back when I was still in the ‘grind it out’ mode of growing my business. I had grown my income significantly, but how I was working my business wasn’t sustainable.

This is an important first step acknowledging when what we’re doing isn’t sustainable.

Have you felt this frustration?

Maybe it’s around the number of hours you have to work (for entrepreneurs this tends to be more than a full-time job)…

Maybe it’s that you don’t have time for the people and things you love…

Maybe it’s that you’re grinding it out, but still don’t have the income you desire and you know you can’t just 10x your work hours to get there. What gives!?

Whatever it is, you’re ready to learn some new rules to business and figure out how to make it work… specifically, how to hit six or seven figures in your business, WITHOUT overwhelm or burnout.

The first step?  Focus.

What is ONE THING—one big, important thing—that will move the needle in your business?

Do you know? If not, start by reverse engineering from your goal.

Want to make more money? You need to focus on mastering sales and outreach.

Want to grow without hitting up against those same upper limits or limiting beliefs? You need to focus on your mindset and releasing the ‘double binds’ that keep you stuck.

Want to move a specific project forward? You need a strategic plan.

What’s your one thing? And how will you focus on that one thing going forward?
