We’re doing something different here at TUW and I wanted to give you a bit of a preview.

For a long time I’ve been oscillating between encouraging you to lean into your masculine or feminine essence.

By now, if you’ve been with me for awhile, you know that one is not better than the other and that you need both “to give birth” or make manifest on this physical plane to the ideas, dreams, and goals you hold on the non-physical plane. This is the Law of Gender.

The masculine, represented in summary form, is your singular focused drive, persistence, and discipline on your goal.

It’s most required when you’re just starting a business or a career and need to build trust in yourself to get the momentum going. This is the gestation period.

This is when you have more time than money, so your focus is on bootstrapping your way to success.

This is when most things require you to hunker down and do things that are beyond your comfort zone.

This is the “just do it” time period.

None of this needs to feel bad and by all means you’ll want to integrate your feminine essence into how you’re working as well.

Perhaps the 80/20 rule would apply here. Show up 80% in your masculine, 20% in your feminine*.

Once you’ve got lift off though, it’s generally wise to start moving more into your feminine.

The feminine, in summary form, is your intuitive knowing that moves you forward seemingly indirectly yet reaches outcomes with more ease, more quickly.

It is most required when you’ve already achieved a certain level of success.

When you’ve already mastered the key skill sets required for continued success.

When you already trust yourself to show up and do the work.

Again, we could apply the 80/20 rule here. Show up 80% in your feminine, 20% in your masculine*.

But most über successful women stay in their masculine 98% of the time and stay there long after it’s actually necessary.

This causes a lack of true satisfaction and a diminishing ROI on their output.

They’d be better served living from their feminine a whole lot more.

Better served not only in their entrepreneur/CEO role, but also in their personal lives.

And this is where the Exquisite Life comes in.

We’re going to be talking about this concept and this way of creating a lot more.

This Exquisite Life Plan methodology is best used by those women…

Who are craving more ease and spaciousness but not at the sacrifice of their ambition…

Who have already achieved a certain level of success and they’re asking themselves… “Is this all that there is?” and “What’s next?”…

Who already have amazing lives but are ready to look at that one area that continues to hold them back from a truly exquisite life.

I can’t wait to share more with you. This is the evolution of what’s come before and a birthing of a new body of work.

*None of this is written in stone. These are just guidelines to get you thinking. Different days, different projects, different conversations, different environments, etc require different aspects of yourself.

Last night I wrapped up the Netflix documentary on David Beckham. It was soooo good!

I love learning about successful people’s paths and although there’s so much to muse about in this documentary, I want to focus on Beckham’s seeming obsession with order in his environment… from the meticulous way he keeps his kitchen to the order of his clothes in his closet.

One might say it’s slightly OCD or that he has too much time on his hands, but I imagine that this level of order creates so much visual beauty that it helps quiet his mind.

I know that seeing how he folded, stacked, and arranged his t-shirts made my heart smile and calmed my nervous system right down. Ahhhhh…

As someone who loves a clean and ordered house… who organizes her closet by both type of clothing and color… who likes her shoes all facing the same way… you get the idea…it’s peaceful and easy on my eyes… I totally relate.

Order creates so much beauty and beauty is a type of order.

But watching someone err on the side of compulsion made me muse…

Is there such a thing as too much order?

And further… I wonder what the closets of the über successful are like???

I can’t imagine anyone who is truly on the top of their game having a disordered environment.

So does order create success or are the successful naturally ordered?

Clearly, an OCD compulsion for order alone doesn’t create success. But a disordered environment and disordered thinking certainly creates friction that gets in the way of success in both life and business.

So what’s the lesson from Beckham’s meticulousness?

No, it’s not to be OCD about everything in life.

The lesson is to find the order that creates beauty and flow in your life and build on that. Not so much that it constrains your flow but enough to give structure to it.

Order in your relationships, management, parenting, time, food, health, love… and yes, your closet. ;-)

Create that order and watch your peace, ease, and success increase.

The Truth About ‘Ease’ vs ‘Easy’ (A MUST READ)

Do you want it to be easy, or do you want a great f’ing life?

If you want a great life, you have to understand the difference between ‘ease’ vs ‘easy’.

Easy happens when we master a skill. Something that was once a challenge for us is now easy.

Think about learning to ride a bicycle. At one point it was hard, yet eventually, it became second-nature, something you didn’t have to think about anymore… easy peasy! ;-)

This is true of making sales calls, showing up on a Facebook live, speaking on stages, speaking up to your boss, commanding a meeting or room… the list goes on. These will become easy over time, the more you do them and get comfortable.

EASE, on the other hand, is… a state of mind… a way of being… WHILE we’re doing the work to build something of substance (whether that’s a business, a career, a relationship, or a huge increase in our bank account).

We’re pushing our edges, learning new skills, working hard to create what we want, but we’re shifting our attitude – in how we approach it.

This can look like:

  • Choosing to feel delight during the day-to-day of business and life.
  • Working hard, but letting go of the ‘grind it out’ mentality that leads to burnout.
  • Experiencing challenges, but navigating them with humor – rather than frustration.
  • Removing the tension by taking actions quickly and with less ‘noise’ or story.

Challenge and hard work are where we grow, but we can choose to have an attitude of ease… to make simple shifts in our mindset and way of being… that lead to more EASE and more GROWTH.

How will you choose to create more ease in your life and work?

What’s one shift in your attitude that you can make today?

Unlocking The Power Of Focus

You’ve read all the books on personal growth, maybe even marketing and business building as well… you’ve taken the classes and studied all the trainings… you know a LOT about what’s supposed to work and what needs to be in place… yet, you haven’t created the life you desire or the level of success, influence, and revenue that you crave.

What gives?!

I get the frustration, because I used to be “the perfect student” as well. I built a life, career, and two businesses from the place of “if I just do things by the book, I’ll gain love, success, acceptance, security, etc.”

And… I’d make the money, right?

But instead of gaining those things… I worked myself sick… I spent 12 – 16 hours a day glued to my computer… I had ZERO freedom of choice in regards to my time… and I certainly didn’t have the income I wanted, despite working harder and harder.

One of the most impactful shifts for me came down to focus.

Not knowing where to spend my time, or what was going to move the needle forward in my business was a big sticking point for me… jumping from project to project… getting distracted by shiny object syndrome and falling down rabbit hole after rabbit hole.

The thing about the distractions is that it’s actually not about “having ADD” as many business owners like to joke. It runs deeper than that. We self-sabotage through distraction because if we never quite land anywhere and never really get anything done… we can’t ever really fail.

But we never really get anywhere with our businesses either.

We never create the life we want, serving the people we want to serve.

We never break free and experience true FREEDOM of time and choice.

We never get to travel, spend time with the ones we love, and live our lives fully.

Focus is key… if you know how to do it right.

Why You Need To Be Quiet To Grow

In our attempts to be helpful, solve problems, shine, and grow our business quickly, we often forget to get quiet and listen. This can be true even for people who have a regular meditation or presencing practice.

A big teaching point from one of my recent retreats was the reminder to folks to “shut up and listen.”

That phrasing may sound harsh, yet it was done intentionally to snap the attendees (and now you) out of what I call: the complicity of assumption.

  • The assumption what know what people think and feel.
  • The assumption that we know what their problems are.
  • The assumption that we know what they’re going to say.
  • The assumption that we know what’s important to them and what they want.

This is projection.

Truly listening and hearing others isn’t just important… it’s essential… and as a culture, we’re not great at it. We make a lot of assumptions and this doesn’t allow us to truly show up in service to our fellow human beings… whatever our business may be.

Instead of really hearing someone else’s words, we’re busy formulating our own thoughts and responses… we’re half-heartedly nodding and saying “mmhmm” as others share what’s going on for them just waiting to respond… we might even be multitasking and checking our email while on the phone…

We’re so used to keeping ourselves in motion… moving, doing, making, checking, being one step ahead… that we don’t really get still, be quiet and plug in, and truly pay attention to the TRUTH of what’s being shared.

There’s huge truth available when we really get curious, listen, and don’t project.

Now’s the time to ask yourself, where are all the places in your business where you need to increase your capacity to get still, be quiet, and really listen?

Look to increase your capacity to…

  • Be quiet and listen to your clients.
  • Be quiet and listen to your prospects.
  • Be quiet and listen to your team.
  • Be quiet and listen to your partners.
  • Be quiet and listen to your coach or mentor.
  • Be quiet and listen to your colleagues.
  • Be quiet and listen to yourself.

And most importantly… look to increase your capacity to…

Be quiet and listen to Source.

Scaling your business quickly and with ease… growing a team… implementing new systems… crafting better packages… choosing the right clients and collaborations… it all requires you plugging into Source to KNOW what your next step is for your vision and your business.

This knowing doesn’t come from the assumptions of an overactive mind.

It comes from getting quiet and listening. This is how you grow your business with ease and grace.

Listen to the wisdom, guidance, downloads, and inner nudges that are always available to you and then take action on this Spirit-led guidance. When you do… you’ll be pleasantly surprised by how fast you will grow!
