A Classic Income Sabotage – Don’t Do This!

Here’s a quick truth I want to share this morning:

If you’re saying you want to hit six or seven figures in your business, but you’re not willing to invest in things like travel, education, team, experts, systems, and software, you’re not going to have your income breakthrough.

Period. Full stop.

In fact, you’re sabotaging yourself right from the get-go. You’re afraid to step forward.

It’s not just about ‘you have to spend money to make money’, it’s about stepping into a way of being that ALIGNS you vibrationally with what you claim you want.

What is one thing you know you WANT or NEED to move the needle in your business?

  • Is it hiring that new team member?
  • Is it finally upgrading your systems and software?
  • Is it making time for education so that you can go to the next level?

Whatever it is, DECIDE to do it and do so from a place of CONFIDENTLY BEING the six or seven-figure business owner you want to be.

Right now, don’t wait.

Do You Have A Fear Of Success?

We hear a lot of talk about the fear of failure. In fact, it’s a big reason many people never get moving around their business goals, or take the steps to quantum leap their income.

But what about fear of success?

Fear of getting exactly what we desire?

Fear of “making it big” and having an impact?

Fear of creating the high level of income we want?

Fear of success is a tricky one, because it doesn’t show up as directly as fear of failure. Most people who have a fear of succeeding don’t actually know that’s the driving factor.

It shows up as distraction, procrastination, avoidance. It feels like overwhelm and the belief that we can’t handle what comes along with the success we claim we want… we worry that “we’ll drop the ball, it will be too much work, it will cause more problems,” etc.

It also manifests in physical ways, such as exhaustion and fatigue… (ask me how I know!!)

It’s subconscious and there are MANY subtle ways this shows up.

There’s also a specific way to figure out if YOU have a fear of success.

You have to start by looking at where you STOP yourself.

When you start thinking about your big, juicy goal, what happens?

Do you get tired? Do you feel overwhelmed? Are you resistant to taking the actions you need to take, getting lost in the laundry or other things that aren’t ‘move the needle’ steps?

Or does it show up as procrastination, always doing research and getting ready to get ready?

You have to start by getting HONEST with yourself about your results, and taking a closer look at all the subtle ways you stop yourself from moving forward towards what you want.

When you dig into this, what shows up for you, NAME?

How are you stopping yourself?

And are you ready to get over your fear of success? Really, truly?

If so, email us and let me know what you uncovered and what you’re committing to changing about how you show up. I would love to know and help hold you accountable. :-)

If You Want Different Results, You Need To Be Coachable At Every Level

By Amira Alvarez Okay, here's the problem: You're super smart. You work really hard. You know a lot. You've had some level of success. And yet, if you look at your results, you’re not where you want to be. Ask me how I know. ;) Several years ago I thought I was all…

Okay, here’s the problem:

  • You’re super smart.
  • You work really hard.
  • You know a lot.
  • You’ve had some level of success.

And yet, if you look at your results, you’re not where you want to be.

Ask me how I know. ;)

Several years ago I thought I was all that and more. I thought I had all the answers and that I knew what to do. And in some ways I did… I’d studied quite a bit about what goes into success, I’d worked really hard, and I was out there every day with a strong work ethic, doing my work.

I was doing pretty well, don’t get me wrong. And yet, I wasn’t.

When I looked at my results, I wasn’t where I wanted to be… whether it was with my income, my health and how I looked, how I was growing my business, what kind of team I had, how many people I was helping, my relationships… the whole nine yards!

I was like, “if I’m so smart, why don’t I have the success that I want? Why have I not reached the potential I know inside that I was made for more?”

Here’s the thing: I had to get really clear that I STILL needed help to see what I wasn’t seeing for myself.

You don’t have to deny your intelligence, how far you’ve come, your great attitude, or everything that’s really awesome in your life to recognize that you want more and you actually need help making it happen.

I needed to become coachable. This is something I continue to work on with myself every single day, because I’m still going for more. If I want a $10 million or $50 million business, and I’m not there yet, do I sit here and denigrate myself and say, “I’m not there yet and I suck”?

No!

But I do say to myself, “Okay, who am I going to learn from? How am I going to get help?”

If I want different results, I need to be coachable at every level.

If you want to grow to the next level, you have to consistently ask yourself, are you coachable in this moment? Are you cutting off support? Are you making yourself feel wrong about not knowing something already, and therefore shutting the door on learning? Or are you ready to go for more and become truly unstoppable, by becoming coachable and getting help?

I just got back from a Tony Robbins event. I was struck by all his clients… Serena Williams, Bill Clinton, the titans of Wall Street… If you think you’ve made it and don’t need a coach, just look at what successful people do. They get coached. Even Tony does.

Freedom is a HUGE aspect of The Unstoppable Woman movement, because far too many women don’t feel truly free in their lives and businesses.

Today I want you to think about what true freedom means to YOU.

Is it freedom of time… the ability to do what you want, when you want?

Is it financial freedom… always buying or investing in what you want and need, without having to worry about the cost and whether or not you can afford it?

Is it freedom of expression… not hiding and saying what you mean?

Is it freedom of creation…  creating what you envision in your life, relationships, health, and business, without feeling confined or restricted by someone or something else?

Is it freedom in your relationships… feeling loved and supported for who you truly are?

Is it freedom from your subconscious programming… no longer being run by outdated fears, double binds, and limiting beliefs that keep you from going for more?

What would it look like to be TRULY FREE in your life and business?

Take a moment to write that vision out in as much detail as possible.

Go ahead, I’ll wait… ;-)

Once you have a vision of what it would look like, ask yourself this: how much money do you need in order for that to become possible?

Have you thought about it?

This is important because in order to be truly free, you must be financially free. When you think about it, everything in your life has a financial component.

When you’re financially free you’re not beholden to anyone when it comes to the choices you’re making on how you live your life… you’re not constrained in how you show up, what you say, what you do, who you think you need to be to make sure you’re financially secure in the world.

If you’re not clear on how much you need to make… what a true income breakthrough looks like for you to experience true freedom in your life and business… you will struggle to create it.

You have to CLAIM that money goal first, then create a strategic plan to make it happen. The claiming comes first! Start with that.

How To Create Momentum

Would you love to feel amazing at the end of each day? Full of satisfaction, knowing that you knocked it out of the park?

Can you imagine what this would do for your momentum and your ability to show up and SLAY every day in your life and your business?

You would be ON FIRE!!

But that’s not the case for most people. Most people sabotage their momentum by not keeping their word to themselves.

Here’s how the momentum-killing, downward spiral actually works (see if it’s familiar)…

First, we set conscious or vaguely conscious commitments to ourselves and others. All good, except we’re generally not clear about when or what or how it’s going to happen.

Because we haven’t gotten clear about it, we get distracted, tired, or pulled in a different direction by someone else’s needs or some kind of fire drill that appears more important.

When we realize we haven’t kept our commitment to ourselves, there arises a slight feeling (sometimes more) of disappointment… then guilt… then wrongness… then failure… even when we’ve done a trillion other things in our day.

Your downward spiral might have a slightly different nuance to it, but it probably looks pretty similar. Recognize what happens for you when you say you’ll do something… or you have a strong desire to do something… but you don’t actually do it.

  • What happens to your mood, energy, and self-esteem?
  • What happens to your ability to feel good at the end of the day?
  • What happens to your relationships (personally or professionally)?
  • What happens to your sense of Self, who you believe yourself to be?
  • What happens to your self-talk, the stories you tell about yourself?

Do this over and over again AND THIS KILLS YOUR MOMENTUM.

Now take this deeper and ask yourself…

What are the unconscious or vaguely conscious commitments you’re actually making?

What are the first ones that come to mind? It could be a desire to work out every day, to do your morning routine, to make sales calls, to start that project, to get your marketing off the ground, etc. It could be any number of things in your day-to-day life and business.

Continue to note them throughout the day.

You’ll be surprised how many shapes and sizes they come in. You’ll also be surprised if you track this, how often you set yourself up for failure!

If you say you want to do something, be clear with yourself.

The only way to do that is to take your calendar out and schedule it. Decide specifically what you’re doing and when it’s getting done.

If you work your calendar in a PROACTIVE way, you’ll see exactly what choices you need to make to stay in integrity with yourself.

Make these choices.

Live in integrity.

Feel the flow. :-)

Do you know how much you’re worth?

One of the places most women struggle with their sales conversation is around pricing.

Both in knowing how much to charge and asking for the sale with ease.

When you don’t know your worth, you avoid the money piece until asked, and when you do reply you feel wobbly and uncomfortable. You hem and haw, fumble around with the numbers, and sometimes even invalidate yourself before you hear what they have to say.

You know those moments. The ones where you lay out the cost and then quickly go on to say, “but if that’s too expensive we can always [insert whatever you say to discount your offering].”

There are many different reasons why we do this, including:

  • We don’t know why we priced ourselves where we did
  • We’re not confident in our ability to solve their problem effectively
  • We have imposter syndrome and wonder, “who am I to actually help people?”
  • We hear a critical voice in our head that doesn’t belong to us (it belongs to mom or dad or some important figure that told us we weren’t good enough along the way)
  • We have issues and beliefs around money and wealth that hold us back
  • We hold limiting beliefs around “sales” and “marketing” bring gross or sleazy

All of these come back to KNOWING and OWNING your worth.

Knowing and owning your ability to really serve and support people in all the ways you’re most called, equipped, and experienced to do so.

Knowing and owning the value of what you provide, and how vastly that impacts someone’s life, work, relationships, or health.

So tell me, where do you get tripped up? What is the feeling you have around asking for money or talking about your prices? What is the story or belief? Why do you avoid, hem and haw, or immediately discount and invalidate your worth?

And most importantly… why don’t you charge enough not to be stressed out or worried about money?

Really take a moment to sit with these questions.

Not only will I be teaching you my high integrity, massively effective sales system that helps you change your entire mindset around sales, but we’ll be digging into THREE “get the work done sessions” so that you can leave with your Success Plan FULLY DEVELOPED.

Want to start now? Your first step is to get clear on the positioning and value of your product or service…
