In our attempts to be helpful, solve problems, shine, and grow our business quickly, we often forget to get quiet and listen. This can be true even for people who have a regular meditation or presencing practice.

A big teaching point from one of my recent retreats was the reminder to folks to “shut up and listen.”

That phrasing may sound harsh, yet it was done intentionally to snap the attendees (and now you) out of what I call: the complicity of assumption.

  • The assumption what know what people think and feel.
  • The assumption that we know what their problems are.
  • The assumption that we know what they’re going to say.
  • The assumption that we know what’s important to them and what they want.

This is projection.

Truly listening and hearing others isn’t just important… it’s essential… and as a culture, we’re not great at it. We make a lot of assumptions and this doesn’t allow us to truly show up in service to our fellow human beings… whatever our business may be.

Instead of really hearing someone else’s words, we’re busy formulating our own thoughts and responses… we’re half-heartedly nodding and saying “mmhmm” as others share what’s going on for them just waiting to respond… we might even be multitasking and checking our email while on the phone…

We’re so used to keeping ourselves in motion… moving, doing, making, checking, being one step ahead… that we don’t really get still, be quiet and plug in, and truly pay attention to the TRUTH of what’s being shared.

There’s huge truth available when we really get curious, listen, and don’t project.

Now’s the time to ask yourself, where are all the places in your business where you need to increase your capacity to get still, be quiet, and really listen?

Look to increase your capacity to…

  • Be quiet and listen to your clients.
  • Be quiet and listen to your prospects.
  • Be quiet and listen to your team.
  • Be quiet and listen to your partners.
  • Be quiet and listen to your coach or mentor.
  • Be quiet and listen to your colleagues.
  • Be quiet and listen to yourself.

And most importantly… look to increase your capacity to…

Be quiet and listen to Source.

Scaling your business quickly and with ease… growing a team… implementing new systems… crafting better packages… choosing the right clients and collaborations… it all requires you plugging into Source to KNOW what your next step is for your vision and your business.

This knowing doesn’t come from the assumptions of an overactive mind.

It comes from getting quiet and listening. This is how you grow your business with ease and grace.

Listen to the wisdom, guidance, downloads, and inner nudges that are always available to you and then take action on this Spirit-led guidance. When you do… you’ll be pleasantly surprised by how fast you will grow!

You are always first cause in the physical realm.

That’s the Law of Cause and Effect. Every action you take, the words you speak, the way you’re showing up, how you’re BEING in your life, relationships, and business… all of that creates a ripple effect, putting other things into motion in a very specific way.

If your business feels hard and overwhelming… you are at cause for that.

This isn’t about blame or shame or making yourself wrong. It’s not about feeling crappy. It’s about taking 100% personal responsibility for the results you’re creating (or not creating).

That’s it.

You have to look at the choices you’re making… the experiences you’re tolerating… the thoughts you’re thinking… where you’re stopping short.

Because that’s one way we self sabotage… we stop. We give up and decide that things are too hard or overwhelming and we should try something else.

Frustration and overwhelm are not signs to stop.

They’re opportunities.

Something you’ll hear me say a lot, especially if you’re a member of The Posse is, “there’s ALWAYS tension in the growth.”

Growth requires stretching yourself beyond the point you’ve always operated from… moving outside your level of comfort… it requires stepping into spaces and ways of being that are completely unfamiliar and new.

Of course there’s tension, frustration, and overwhelm… even chaos.

When you OWN that you’re first cause—when you see these things as opportunities rather than spinning out or giving up—then you’re able to make changes.

You’re able to grow.

Frustration, tension, overwhelm show us where we need to make changes. Where we need to hire team… improve systems… rework our packaging. They show us where we need to move beyond our fears, limiting beliefs, and stories so we can do more, have more, earn more.

When you take 100% personal responsibility for your experience in your business, you step into the position of being a powerful creator.

Tell me… do you know what the frustration and overwhelm are showing you? Are you aware of what cause you’re putting into effect? Do you know what needs to change so you can experience more ease as you grow?

Take some time today to notice where you’re feeling frustration and overwhelm… where you want to just stop or give up… and trace those feelings to the root.

OWN that experience fully and CREATE a different outcome.

It’s always a choice… and it’s always within your power.

What’s Actually Hard About Taking The Next Step…

By Amira Alvarez The outer game actions are the easiest part of growing your business. I know, I know... You might be thinking… “But Amira, it’s not so easy… I can’t find the right people, I don’t know where to look, they’re not out there. Or, I don’t even know the right systems…

The outer game actions are the easiest part of growing your business.

I know, I know… You might be thinking… “But Amira, it’s not so easy… I can’t find the right people, I don’t know where to look, they’re not out there. Or, I don’t even know the right systems to put in place and changing my packaging seems totally and completely daunting—what’s this ‘easy part’ you speak of?!”

Here’s how it works… the actions themselves are very clear and simple.

Need more support? You hire team. To hire team you take certain actions steps such as looking at your budget, writing an ad, interviewing, onboarding, etc.

Need things streamlined? You build systems. To do that you identify where the tension and breakdown is happening, figure out the best tool or solution, build out a process, test, etc.

Need to make more money without working more hours? You change your packaging. To rework your packages you raise your prices, bundle products and services, move to value based vs hourly, understand your client’s hopes and fears, rework your positioning, change your marketing, etc.

The how is not complicated.

What’s HARD are the fears, blocks, and beliefs that crop up throughout the process that cause confusion.

For instance, it’s not hard to hire team… it’s hard to believe you’re worthy of expert level support. It’s hard to believe that the perfect person is here for you right now.

It’s not hard to build out systems… it’s hard to trust yourself enough to let go of having your hands in every little thing, so that things can be streamlined.

It’s not hard to change your packaging… it’s hard to believe in the value of your products and services, as well as the impact you have on others… when you’ve been taught to not talk big or take up too much space.

All these pieces I’ve been talking to you about… leveraging, scaling, growing, and exponentially increasing your income… it causes a lot of resistance and agitation in many business owners.

I see people writing off how easy it can be and by saying things like… it’ll work for her because she’s further along, better suited to xyz, or is pdq industry.

They don’t want to have this conversation. NOT because hiring, packaging, and building systems themselves are challenging… but because it means they have to face into the fears, blocks, and beliefs that have been keeping them small… keeping them “safe.”

But if you’re the type of who wants to have a thriving business, you have face these things.

What’s the fear, block, or belief that’s getting in your way?

I know there’s something there otherwise you’d have the big results you want.

Just this morning I had to ask myself the same question… why am I feeling stalled, stuck, unclear? What’s the belief or story? Is there fear? What’s missing for me to be able to move forward? I faced this head on and answered it so I could move forward quickly.

No matter how much you grow… how deeply you do this work… you will continue to bump up against fears, blocks, and beliefs. It doesn’t stop. Where there’s growth, there’s tension… and you’ve got to be willing to step into it to resolve it and make it easier… if you want to continue to grow.

Be willing to face into what might be there, just below the surface. Be willing to shine some light where it’s most needed and get the CLARITY necessary to move forward.

The Packaging And Positioning You Need To Make More Money

By Amira Alvarez Let’s get down to the nitty-gritty. How do you actually increase your income? How can you 3x, 5x, or 10x your income without burning out? Because you can’t just 3x, 5x, or 10x your working hours when you’re already working those 16 hour days… it’s just not doable. I had…

Let’s get down to the nitty-gritty. How do you actually increase your income?

How can you 3x, 5x, or 10x your income without burning out? Because you can’t just 3x, 5x, or 10x your working hours when you’re already working those 16 hour days… it’s just not doable.

I had to learn this myself… how to actually create more time and create more income for myself, without simply working more hours.

Let me just say for the record… there is nothing bad about hard work, persistence, and giving it your all. There’s nothing bad about going for excellence every single day. I believe in that. It’s actually essential… but none of that has to be a struggle or burn you out.

But… when you find that you’re stuck on the hamster wheel of trading all your time for not enough money, something has to give.

One place to look to make change is your packaging. Packaging is one of three pillars to leverage and includes how you position what you do and your marketing and your messaging.

So let’s dig in…

You need to know how to position what you’re selling. What’s the container for the work you’re doing? As in… What’s the framework and components of what you sell? What are the results or benefits you’re promising, and the value of what you’re offering? Do you know and are you able to clearly articulate this to your ideal clients through your marketing efforts? And can you hold that value when you’re marketing it and offering it for sale?

As a special gift, click here to download a worksheet from my Marketing and Messaging class that helps you explore how to build a clear and connected description of what you offer for sale. This forces you to really acknowledge the VALUE of what you provide, as well as to start crafting a compelling message and conversation that will serve you in your marketing efforts.

This worksheet is simple yet powerful, download it now. I find that even if you’ve done an exercise like this before, as you grow and evolve you need to do it again to really claim what you are offering and its value.

You have to learn to truly embrace and leverage YOUR unique genius. To know that it’s not just okay for you to embrace this genius and do your work in the world, but it’s also WANTED and NEEDED.

I don’t fold my laundry anymore.

Not because I’m “too good for that” but because I decided that it wasn’t a good use of my time anymore. So I hired someone to clean the house for me, as well as to wash and fold my laundry.

When I first made the decision to do this, I bumped up against a whole lot of my own internal blocks.

  • Can I really spend money on this?
  • What a frivolous thing to do.
  • This isn’t what practical women do.
  • I can do this myself.
  • I should do this myself.
  • I can’t have someone else do this for me.

Do you know what the connection between all these thoughts were?

Lack of seeing myself as worthy of more… of better… of what I actually wanted.

I didn’t believe I deserved to be supported in this particular way. I didn’t believe I had the right to spend money on myself at this level. I wasn’t prioritizing taking care of my needs or nurturing my desires because “who was I” to hire someone else to fold my laundry?!

Yet in my head I was complaining about it. And I needed to take personal responsibility for stepping up and getting the help I needed and wanted… or I needed to stop complaining about it.

I share this with you today because choosing not to invest in ourselves and our businesses comes back to self-worth and taking personal responsibility. Choosing to work those 12 to 16 hour days… running ourselves ragged and forgetting to eat… that comes back to self-worth. Not implementing the systems that automate our business or having team step in and take over roles that are outside our genius zone… that comes back to self-worth… and personal responsibility.

We like to mask over it with the excuse of “not enough time” and “not enough money,” but if we’re unwilling to make choices, take actions, and make investments because we believe it’s not practical or is frivolous or “I could just do it myself”… it’s a self-worth issue, as well as not taking personal responsibility for the outcomes in your life and business.

In the first video of the Cracking the Code to Income Generation video series, I talked about the importance of claiming your desire. You can’t create what you desire if you’re unwilling to claim it. But you also have to KNOW that you’re WORTHY of having it.

You have to raise your self-worth.

But how do you do this?

You take the actions, first. You don’t wait until one day you magically feel more worthy of having your desires met… you take actions that are aligned with having a higher level of self-worth, and you keep riding wave after wave that come with upleveling your life, business, and relationships.

You KEEP. TAKING. ACTIONS.

  • You hire the cleaning company.
  • You bring on a personal or virtual assistant.
  • You work with the expert that can help you level up.
  • You buy the software that will smooth out the systems.
  • You get your nails done or buy the dress at the nicer store.
  • You invest in better equipment for yourself and your team.

Whatever it is for you… you take those actions. You keep showing yourself and your fearful subsconscious that YOU ARE WORTHY or more. And that you’re WILLING to do the work necessary to keep growing. To make more money. To have the life you desire.

Tell me, are you willing to do what it takes to have what you desire? To make a quantum leap and 3x, 5x, even 10x your income? To put the systems and support in place so that you’re able to SERVE MORE people, having the impact you desire?

You deserve more.
