Intimacy is more than sex.
Intimacy is a safe place to be transparent, vulnerable and seen.

Let me connect the dots for you on this and what it means to me (and business)…

Years ago when I started my business, I would have said that the impact I wanted to make was teaching women how to make more money.

I still love doing this. Without the knowledge of how to make money, in this society, we can feel totally trapped, which is definitely antithetical to being Unstoppable.)

Now however, my answer to this question has evolved.

The impact I want to make now goes beyond the money.

Now it is to create the ability for smart, driven, powerful woman to stand in their authority, unapologetically, embracing intimacy in every relationship they have (from partner to their mom to their bestie), the confidence to be seen and received in the fullness of who they are and what they desire.

In a sense, this is freedom. This is wholeness.

Playing small, settling, tolerating, compromising, people pleasing, all play a part in creating an invisible ceiling in our lives that keeps us from reaching our goals, making the money we want to make AND experiencing deep, ecstatic intimacy.

I’ll come back to that in a moment :)

When I started my business I was focused on the idea  that money equals freedom. The reality is quite different.  (You can make a lot of money and still feel trapped… in debt, in unhappy relationships, in guilt… you get it.)

Intimacy with myself, with others, with God/Source/Spirit… this is where real freedom comes from.

Not having to hide, shrink or dilute my desires on any level. This is freedom.

No settling. No hiding. No small life.

To some degree, money does make reaching my desires and not settling easier. But truly, it’s who I had to become to make that money, the internal growth that had to happen, that was the game changer.

I’m curious…

Do you shy away from true intimacy?

Where are you not safe to be transparent?
Where are you not safe to be vulnerable?
Where are you not safe to be seen?

When we have to hide, on any level, we lose our power, strength and confidence.

Let me say it like this…

You want to make 7 figures in your business, is that big enough? Nah…

Let’s go with this:  you want to bring home 7 figures from your business, profit!

Who do you share this with that will believe in you, see the possibilities with you, partner emotionally with your vision and may even be willing to put some skin in the game?

Can you even believe it for yourself?

Or did you immediately shut down the thought of this being a reality?

Will you allow yourself to even desire it? Or does the playing small, hiding, settling happen inside YOU, before it ever makes it out to those around you?

How intimate are you willing to be with yourself for your own desires?

Who can you share this with that will champion the desire with you? A partner? Can they see it to the point of supporting you with an investment, with long hours, with nights out networking, or will they only ‘dream a little dream’ with you but not really intimately join you in the journey?

Can you see the true freedom found in intimacy?

Have you put a ceiling on yourself? Are you allowing someone else to place a ceiling on you? A ceiling of being transparent, vulnerable and truly seen for who you are and what you desire?

Now when my desire for intimacy with myself, God or others starts to diminish it is an indicator (like the needle on the gas tank) telling me something is wrong.

I’ve gone into smallness, scarcity, lack, ‘not enoughness.’

I see the needle dropping long before I see the outcome… an alarm happens in my soul and I know something has to change immediately.

This is what I want for you. An uncompromised commitment to yourself, which requires intimacy,  deep connection and complete surrender to all of who you are.

So you want more. You have a growth mindset and big goals for yourself and your business in the coming months, and youre driven to achieve it all in 2022.

Emotionally and mentally, you’re all in.

But then you get distracted.

It starts with one ‘off’ day. Maybe you sit down to tackle your new task, then you think to yourself… I really should finish staining the deck while it isn’t raining.

Or you plan to spend a morning knocking out some big to-do’s for a new marketing initiative… only to check the clock and realize that morning’s over, and all you did is get lost in email.

Before you know it, it’s become a pattern.

It’s so easy to fall into the trap of doing what we know how to do – what we’re already successful at doing – instead of taking the new, needle-moving actions we know we need to focus on to grow and scale.

There’s a reason I can recite this pattern like the back of my hand. This used to be my go-to pattern. And I know this is extraordinarily common, because I hear about it from my clients all the time.

It’s called productive procrastination.

Why So Many People Fall for Productive Procrastination

Sure, it might sound a little better than plain old procrastination – the type where you’re laying on the couch mindlessly scrolling through your Facebook feed.

But here’s the rub: when you procrastinate in the “normal” way, you almost always realize it.

Productive procrastination, on the other hand… it’s sneaky. It is not a growth mindset you need as an entrepreneur.

If you’re not careful, you hardly ever realize when you’ve fallen into its trap.

That’s because on the surface, you’re getting a ton done! But in reality, you’re keeping busy while avoiding what really needs doing in your business.

What have you done this with in the past? Blog posts? Financial reports? Emailing your list?

Once you recognize what you’re doing, you can consciously choose to redirect your activity.

What’s one thing you can do today to steer clear of this sneaky trap—and focus on the needle-moving actions required to grow your business?

What Have You Been Putting Off Around Goal Achievement? (and Why It Matters)

How as your goal achievement gone? Did you accomplish everything you set out to do this year?

It’s been a wild one, so maybe not.

I’m not trying to shame you, promise! The reason I’m asking is that, as we start to gear up for 2021, you’re probably setting some new goals for yourself.

This is the exciting part! You get to think about all you’re going to tackle in 2021!!

But there’s something just as essential as goal-setting… and that’s acknowledging what’s tripped you up in the past so you can correct it for the future.

The truth is… we all put stuff off (myself included at times!) We’ve all had a goal we’ve set out to achieve, only to find ourselves procrastinating by doing anything and everything else.

Holding yourself accountable to your goal achievement – consistently – is tricky to master.

But even though it takes hard work to maintain accountability, I have some good news. It’s not all your fault.

See, as you start to approach a new level in life and with your goal achievement, your subconscious plays a mind trick on you.

It steps in with all types of distractions, making you see other responsibilities as more important than going after your goal.

But here’s the thing: you don’t have to listen to it.

This is where you can choose how you respond. There are two routes.

Option A: You can focus on what your subconscious is telling you to prioritize. You can go after all these secondary objectives… and put your goal on the backburner.

Your goal won’t be front and center in your mind anymore. Whenever you start to think about it again, you’ll probably feel a tinge of guilt… but your subconscious will eventually come up with (totally legit-sounding) justifications for why you’re concentrating on something else.

Eventually, when things start to calm down with whatever fire you were tending to, you realize: I haven’t made any progress towards my goal in six weeks! (or months, or years!)

Cue the shame spiral.

Yikes. Want to hear Option B?

You can choose not to let your thoughts control you.

You can acknowledge them, and you can even accept that they exist. But you don’t have to act on them.

How you respond to these thoughts is entirely up to you.

This is pivotal. Look at this as a source of power.

Stop Being a Victim of Your Own High Expectations

You have high expectations.

So you want more. (Me too!)

You have big goals for yourself in the coming months and in 2021.

You also know that things have got to change for you to meet these high expectations you have. You can’t keep doing the same thing and think you’re going to get different results. (That’s the definition of insanity.)

And yet…

Change is not so easy. Building the new habits that create the results you want is not a slam dunk, otherwise you’d just think it and do it, and viola! All done.

But most people struggle with changing their habits.

Do you know why?

It’s that your self-image (which lives in your subconscious mind) is not of someone who does what’s required to achieve the goals and dreams… EVEN THOUGH IT’S WHAT YOU WANT CONSCIOUSLY.

What does this look like?

You set a big income goal. Say making $100k or $1,000,000. (Insert your big stretch goal – you have one of those, right?)

You know you have to show up differently… whether that’s raising your visibility, making more connections, doing outreach and sales, or creating a better marketing plan.

But you get distracted…

By the kids…

By the email…

By social media…

By ANYTHING that’s easier.

You do what you know how to do, what’s habitual for you to do, what you’re already successful at doing, instead of building the habit of doing the new, needle moving action… that stretches and changes you.

Even though you know it’s what you need to do and even though you’re committed.

This is SO FRUSTRATING, especially for the woman who sees herself as someone who gets things done!

Going off track and self-sabotaging starts with your self-image.

It’s time to free yourself from being a victim of your own unmet high expectations. Instead, focus on changing who you know yourself to be–your self-image. This directs your actions and when you change this, doing “all the things” becomes so much easier, almost like magic.

I don’t know about you, but I’m getting psyched to close this year out strong… but it requires understanding how to focus.

2020 has been a crazy one, and I’d be surprised if it hasn’t put a damper in at least a few of your goals and plans for 2020. Maybe you’ve had to scrap some altogether, but when I review the goals I set at the beginning of the year, I’m pleasantly surprised at all that I’ve accomplished.

My primary love relationship is so much deeper and more intimate.

My team has grown significantly, more than doubling in size, with really fabulous people.

We’re slaying on some very key business objectives that had been put off too long.

Our audience has grown dramatically, and we’ve launched The Unstoppable Woman Podcast and The Morning Mindset Club, both of which I’m madly in love with and super proud of.

My physical health is so much better, my clients are thriving, and financially the company’s doing great.

And yet, because I’m an achiever, I have LOTS of goals… and I’ve definitely not met them all. ;-)

I didn’t get to accomplish everything I wanted…

This past weekend, as I was soaking up all the fall feels and the changing weather and starting to get ready for the post-Halloween holidays… I had a realization.

It’s not too late to finish strong.

It’s not too late to slay on some of my other goals… and that goes for you, too.

I’m totally activated on this. When others start writing the year off sometime in November, I go hard (with ease and grace.) I really go for it. I want to finish strong. When you do that, you build your confidence, self-esteem, and self-image as someone who keeps her commitments, persists, and achieves her goals.

This will propel you forward into an even more successful 2021.

It’s not too late for you to create a massive breakthrough in your business – or your life in general.

Are you ready to give up? Or do you want it badly enough to do what it takes to have your breakthrough?

Will you commit to prioritizing you for the end of 2020 – so you can finish the year out strong?

Are you ready to create the mental, emotional, and financial freedom and finally start living the life you truly desire?
